Unit 1 – Audio Production

Welcome to our first unit!  During this unit we will look deeper into the realm of Audio production.

Steps to complete.

1. Create a new page on your learning log,  the title will be Unit: 1 Audio Production under your Technology page.
2. Research Audio Production and answer the following questions with short essays (between 75 and 100 words)  post the answers and questions on your learning log page.

• What are some and emerging technologies in the field of audio technology?
• What are copyright laws and how do they relate to audio production?

Main Project :

Using your Cultural Studies Research assignment you will be creating your very own podcast about your subject.

1. You and a partner will write a script for your pod cast – a 10 minute radio show, complete with commercials, about your research assignment. Please make sure you visit Mr. Evan’s Requirements, to make sure you meet your Cultural Studies TSW’s.
2. Record the podcast – the easiest device to use would be your phone, but you can record on your home computer as well.
3. Using editing software like Audacity you will edit your podcast and convert it into the proper MP3 format.
4. Create a Podcast Album Cover – you can scan a drawing or take a picture.
5. Add an Album cover to your podcast – resize your image to 200px x 200px using http://picresize.com/
6. Upload your finished podcast to your Unit 1 – Audio Production page.
